Flexin' Muscles

Everyday in the past week, I longed to update this blog so that I could promptly document the way Sebastian has changed and grown. But every night in the past week, I found myself falling asleep by 9:30pm, whether breastfeeding, reading, watching TV, or internet browsing. I kept the draft page window open on my computer so that I'll remember to post something.

Of course, Sebastian is growing by the minute. But he seems to be able to do more with his muscles lately. He is blowing raspberries when Da-wei and I feed him. He is rolling, more often from back to tummy than the other way around. He now splits his legs like Jean-Claude Van Damme when we hold him upright. He can move his body across a good distance on the floor just by pushing. When laying flat, he now bends his knees and places his feet firmly on the same surface. When waiting to be bathed, he puts one hand near his chest and extends the other hand outward like a princely figure skater (Brian Boitano comes to mind).

These small things he does somehow make me smile. So does this Fu Manchu-like picture taken in the middle of a meal.
